Sagardweep is very well-connected with Kolkata both by roadway and railway but the later is preferred by more people as the journey is short. After getting down from the train at Diamond Harbour, one can take cycle van or a bus to be at the island.

Food, especially variety of fishes is available in Sagardweep, as the economy of the area is largely dependent on fishing. One leaves at 8 in the morning and the other at 5 in the evening.

Apart from its coastal beauty, breathtaking view of sunrise and sunset on the sea, Amrabati Lake, Junput Beach, Mandarmani Beach, Shankarpur Beach and Chandaneshwar Temple are the other tourist attractions in and near Digha.
